The superior court denied this request. Markham appeals, arguing that the loans were permissible under Rule 1.8(e), or, if not permissible, that the rule unconstitutionally denies or infringes upon access to the courts. Because we conclude that Rule 1.8(e) prohibits lawyers from advancing living expenses to clients and does not unconstitutionally interfere with court access, we affirm.
